David Becker is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Internet Bancorp (NASDAQ: INBK), a bank holding company with assets of $2.1 billion as of March 31, 2017. Mr. Becker founded and serves as President and CEO of the Bancorp’s subsidiary, First Internet Bank, which opened for business in 1999 as an industry pioneer in the branchless delivery of banking services.
Mr. Becker has a history of more than 35 years creating successful entrepreneurial companies in financial services and technology. He has created five Inc. 500 companies and sold three of them to public companies. He currently has an educational software firm, DyKnow and a retail software firm, RICS.
Mr. Becker is deeply involved in advancing the interests of his community. He was the first Chairman and a founding member of TechPoint, a change agent for Indiana’s technology industry. He is a past chairman and member of the board of the TechPoint Foundation for Youth, promoting STEM education programs for students in the state. Mr. Becker also served as Chairman of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), a public charity established to improve philanthropic services supporting the central Indiana region. Today, he remains actively involved in several other philanthropic organizations, including a role on the board of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, an alliance of CEOs and university presidents working to promote economic growth.
A firm believer in the value of higher education, Mr. Becker has supported a number of Indiana universities and educational organizations. He is a member of the advisory board for The Robert C. McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship at DePauw University and is Councilor Emeritus for the Dean's Advisory Council for the School of Informatics at Indiana University (IUPUI). He has previously served on an advisory board for the IT Associates Program at DePauw University as well as the Board of Trustees at Vincennes University.
Mr. Becker is a 2001 recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and a 2002 recipient of the INITA (later TechPoint) Trailblazer in Technology award. In 2004, he was named Sagamore of the Wabash by Indiana Governor Joe Kernan. In 2008, he was inducted into the Junior Achievement-sponsored Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame. In February 2015, he was granted the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Mentoring by College Mentors for Kids.
Mr. Becker is a 1975 graduate of DePauw University.
Ms. Lorch was appointed Chief Operating Officer in January 2017. She joined First IB in February 1999 as Director of Marketing. She served as the Bank’s Vice President, Marketing & Technology from 2003-2011 and Senior Vice President, Retail Banking from 2011-2017. Previously, Ms. Lorch held marketing roles at VIFI (Virtual Financial Services) and re:Member Data Services.
Ms. Lorch earned a bachelor's degree from DePauw University and an MBA from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business and is a 2015 graduate of the CBA Executive Banking School.
Mr. Lovik joined First IB in August 2014. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development for First Financial Bancorp, a publicly-traded bank holding company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to his role at First Financial Bancorp, Mr. Lovik was an investment banker at Milestone Advisors, LLC, Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett, Inc., and A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. where he served clients in the financial institutions sector. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lovik worked at the public accounting firm of Price Waterhouse, LLP.
Mr. Lovik received a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.
Mr. Dusing joined First IB in January 2017 after more than 24 years with City Securities Corporation, the oldest investment firm in Indiana. During his time there, he created and grew the firm's private/alternative investment efforts to place municipal debt with banks and other institutional investors. Prior to his role at City Securities Corporation, he served as a public finance banker to municipalities in Indiana and Michigan. Mr. Dusing has more than 35 years of public financing experience. Mr. Dusing received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and has earned several professional licenses administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Mr. Farrell joined First IB in October 2015 following nearly 16 years at Salin Bank and Trust Company, a family-owned community bank headquartered in Indiana. There, he led credit administration and later moved into the role of Chief Credit Officer. Prior to his role at Salin Bank, Mr. Farrell was Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at Bank One, Indiana where he managed small business underwriting for a three-state region in the Midwest. Mr. Farrell has more than 35 years of experience in the banking industry.
Mr. Farrell holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Indiana State University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Mr. Lewis joined First IB in 2010 to launch the Bank's commercial real estate lending effort. He has held senior loan management positions throughout his career, most recently with Huntington National Bank, Sky Bank, Union Federal Bank of Indianapolis, Chase Bank, LaSalle National Bank, Bank One, NBD Bank and Summit Bank. Mr. Lewis attended the University of Toledo.
Mr. Quinn joined First IB in April 2008 in the position of Vice President. Previously, Mr. Quinn was the Senior Vice President at First Indiana Bank where he was responsible for the consumer finance area, including secondary marketing and wholesale lending. Prior to joining First Indiana Bank, Mr. Quinn served in a senior management capacity for several financial institutions. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
Ms. Sharkey joined First IB in December 2015, bringing to her role more than 25 years of experience in loan and deposit operations. She previously held senior management roles with LendKey Technologies, Remittance Processing Services and Irwin Union Bank. Ms. Sharkey is a graduate of Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.
Ms. Shepherd joined First IB in 2011, bringing a team of commercial bankers with her to further diversify the Bank’s commercial lending portfolio. She has held senior loan management positions throughout her career and has a reputation for building successful work teams and devoting resources to develop useful product sets for businesses, most recently at M&I Marshall and Ilsley Bank, National City Bank and Mellon Bank. Ms. Shepherd serves on the Board of Premier Capital Corporation and the Indiana Sports Corp. She has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.
