First Internet Bank Named ‘Tech-Enabled Company of the Year’Released on April 26, 2016
First Internet Bank won the ‘Tech-Enabled Company of the Year’ award during TechPoint’s 17th annual Mira Awards gala, honoring the best of tech in Indiana. The awards recognize Indiana’s best companies, entrepreneurs, educators and other leaders for their technology excellence and innovation.
“From its launch in 1999, First Internet Bank has been on a mission to re-engineer and modernize the delivery channel of an industry deeply rooted in tradition, to serve customers in the digital economy and delight them with customer-centric digital banking solutions,” said David Becker, president and CEO of First Internet Bank. “Being recognized by the tech community for the way we have leveraged technology is especially gratifying.”
First Internet Bank received the award based on the organization’s ability to use technology to provide convenience, access, and a higher quality of service to its banking customers. In the past year, the bank introduced two biometric authentication technologies that allow customers to access their accounts more quickly and securely from a mobile device.
A total of 17 Mira Award winners were chosen from 98 nominees at the event held April 23 in Indianapolis. “The Mira Awards amplify success stories of some of the very best Indiana startups, scale-ups, and established tech companies,” said Mike Langellier, president and CEO of TechPoint.
