AI-driven Banking Insights

We’re always looking for better ways to help you understand your money and put it to work. Now, you can securely connect AI assistants like Anthropic’s Claude* and OpenAI’s ChatGPT* to your First Internet Bank business accounts for read-only access using the beta version of our Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Claude or ChatGPT can securely read and analyze your online banking information, so you can ask questions and see insights directly within the AI assistant you’re using, without exporting spreadsheets, toggling between tools, or giving up control of your data.

*Available now for Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, as well as ChatGPT Pro, Business and Enterprise plans.

Smarter insights. Clearer decisions.

When your financial data works together, your questions get easier to answer. By securely connecting your First Internet Bank accounts to the AI tools you already use, you can see your full financial picture in one place and get answers that actually reflect reality.

No manual exports. No piecing things together. Just information you can use. Instead of logging into multiple dashboards or pulling manual reports, you can get clear, immediate answers and insights using the AI assistant you already prefer.

Ask questions like:

  • Do I have enough cash on hand to cover upcoming expenses?
  • How has my spending changed month-over-month?
  • Which vendors am I spending the most with?
  • Has a recent payment cleared?

Ask straightforward questions about cash flow, spending, and account activity

From data to action, you’re always in control.

You decide what data the Claude and ChatGPT can review, such as balances or transaction history. Permissions can be updated or turned off at any time.

MCP connections are currently read-only, meaning AI assistants can analyze information but can’t move money or make changes to your accounts. Your banking information isn’t used to train the AI tools. MCP simply allows approved data to be securely read for analysis, then closes the connection when you’re done.

Built for real world decision making.

Business owners can use AI tools to better understand cash flow, spending, and financial position. MCP makes it possible to bring those same tools safely into your First Internet Bank online experience, grounded in your actual account data, not assumptions.
