We are currently seeking individuals for the following full-time positions:

Compliance Officer

The Compliance Officer for First Internet Bank is responsible for the development and maintenance of a sound compliance management system that is integrated into the overall risk management strategy of the institution. The Compliance Officer will work with the lines of business within the organization to ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations.  This role will be proactive in assuring compliance policies and procedures for all areas, develop and manage training programs for employees and Directors in consumer protection laws and regulations, review policies and procedures for compliance, and develop the bank’ Compliance Management System.  This position requires a CRCM (Certified  Regulatory Compliance Manager) designation and a minimum of 5 years compliance experience in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate organizational skills to successfully manage multiple tasks and deadlines, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, will be capable of working effectively under limited supervision, and effectively build a team structure and manage work flow processes. 

Mortgage Origination Support Specialist

The Mortgage Origination Support Specialist will provide support, guidance, and training to First Internet Bank Mortgage Loan Officers and Team Leaders. This role will also assist Director(s) of Mortgage Origination with all matters related to residential mortgage loan origination.  A minimum of 4 years mortgage origination, processing, and/or underwriting experience is required.  Experience and knowledge required include loan origination software (LOS), integrated imaging systems, lead management systems, DU, Fannie Mae guidelines, FHA/VA guidelines, Outlook, PD and internet skills as well as All Regs.  The ideal candidate will display strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical skills and possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment as well as work effectively under limited supervision.  

Deposit Product Manager

The Deposit Product Manager is responsible for strategic growth and management of retail (consumer) deposit products. Working with the employees across all levels of the organization, you will develop and price retail (consumer) deposit products in a way that is consistent with the Bank’s business objectives and brand identity and exceeds customer expectations. The Deposit Product Manager works with numerous other employees and teams to design and implement promotions to attract, retain, and deepen relationships with customers.

This position requires 5 or more years financial services experience with a progressive increase in responsibility. Also requires a college degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Other requirements include strong financial analysis skills to include cash flow, components of product profitability; demonstrated knowledge of bank/PC software programs and experience writing database queries preferred; mastery of Excel and proficiency in other Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) applications; excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties.

Systems Analyst

Coordinates the Bank’s use of third-party software applications. This is a highly visible position and requires the ability to interact within all departments and levels of management within the organization. You will have the opportunity to work with business leaders to determine business needs and implement technology solutions to help achieve those objectives. You will also work to ensure employees are familiar with and, as warranted by job duties, properly trained on the software’s features and best practices. Serve as the in-house product expert for a number of applications, perform testing and troubleshooting of systems/applications, work with vendors to resolve issues and inquiries, and provide application training and support to employees.

The successful candidate will have 5 – 7 years of banking experience, an understanding of banking applications and relational databases, and a strong ability to think through problems, identify hidden issues as well as stated issues, to provide an accurate analysis and to explore solutions. 

Banking Specialist (Contact Center Representative)

Banking Specialists respond to inbound customer calls, chat requests, and emails in order to support a full range of banking products and account access/management services. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and strong computer skills are essential for this position.

The successful candidate will have at least a high school degree, a minimum one year banking and customer service experience, prior experience in a call center preferred; basic knowledge with computer based applications and ability to navigate a computerized data entry system and other relevant applications; and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

Our contact center operates from 7AM to 9 PM EST Monday through Friday plus 9 AM to 3 PM EST Saturday. Full- or part-time applicants with a willingness and ability to work the early or late hours and/or Saturdays will be given preference. 

Vice President – C&I Loan Portfolio Manager

The Vice President – C&I Loan Portfolio Manager  will provide general monitoring activities, administrative support and oversight to the bank’s commercial banking division in an effort to prudently manage ongoing risk.  This position will also work closely with the bank management to timely report the general condition and quality of the commercial loan portfolio.  Responsibilities include developing and maintaining consistent analysis and underwriting processes for all credit requests, performing quarterly risk rating assessments of all loans, and assisting in preparing for periodic portfolio reviews conducted by regulatory agencies, loan review and internal audits.  Ideal candidates will possess a thorough understanding of financial statement preparation and content, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills, ability to work in a team environment, and a comfortable knowledge of PC and Microsoft applications. Experience requirements include ten years relevant banking, portfolio management or credit experience. 

Marketing Associate

As a Marketing Associate, you will work with the Director of Marketing and help support outbound marketing activities for our products. You will help craft and deploy messaging and positioning for our products. You'll be part of the team that also includes Sales, to help conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand, attract new customers and increase revenues. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. You will assist with the execution of marketing activities that include marketing communications, website content implementation, lead generation and monthly reporting and analysis. This position requires 1-3 years marketing experience and a college degree in marketing, business, PR or a related field. Experience with marketing automation software, lead generation software and/or social marketing is a plus. This is a great early-career-level role for people interested to learn and grow their marketing as well as business skills.

Vice President - CRE Loan Closer

The Vice President – CRE Loan Closer is responsible for insuring that all CRE loans are properly approved, documented and closed pursuant to the requisite approval authorities/conditions following the appropriate company policies and procedures. This position will work directly with the company’s legal representatives, borrowers, borrower’s counsel and other third parties (broker’s, title companies, etc.) throughout the closing process. Responsibilities include insuring loan approval compliance, coordinating the loan closing process, administering loan payoffs, managing collateral safekeeping, and monitoring documentation exceptions. Ideal candidates will possess exceptional negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a comfortable knowledge of PC and Microsoft applications. Experience requirements include a minimum of five years in commercial loan documentation (preferably in corporate banking or, alternatively, as a paralegal or title officer). A bachelor’s degree in finance or business law is preferred and a good understanding of bank regulatory compliance would be beneficial.

Vice President – Information Technology

The Vice President – Information Technology provides leadership, direction, and guidance to assist the Bank in achieving its objectives through the effective implementation and use of information systems and technology. Responsibilities include working with business unit leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and product expansion through the use of information systems; evaluating the Bank’s current and future technology, communications, and information needs; managing the implementation and support activity for all the Bank’s internal and external information systems and services, including software, hardware, and related equipment; managing third party relationships to ensure the optimal outcome for the Bank; and supervising all activities of the IT department and staff. The successful candidate will have interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with all levels of business users, management, and third parties; a high degree of initiative and a proven record of implementing innovative solutions to business problems; and demonstrated leadership skills. This position requires ten to fifteen years relevant experience as well as applicable education and training, including a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking or related discipline. Banking experience preferred.

Mortgage Underwriter

Responsibilities include underwriting FHA/VA, FNMA, FHLMC, and Portfolio loans that conform to current secondary market and bank guidelines.  

The successful candidate will have a minimum five years of recent residential mortgage loan underwriting experience including a DE certification with FHA; be able to work in a high volume environment with minimal supervision while maintaining all production service levels;   possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail; be customer service oriented with the ability to work in a multi task environment while maintaining a high-level of flexibility.

Mortgage Processor

Responsibilities include processing and preparing for closing retail mortgage loans (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, Portfolio purchase and refinance) in accordance with policies & procedures. 

The ideal candidate will have at least three to four years experience in processing FHA/VA and Conventional loan files; knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA and secondary marketing guidelines; knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong time management and organization skills.

Mortgage Loan Originator - Inside Sales

The ideal candidate will have a minimum three years mortgage origination experience; possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; have strong math, computer and Internet skills and be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.  Associate degree or mortgage industry education equivalent required. 

Responsibilities include managing mortgage leads and loan applications provided by the bank to successful closings with light processing and compliance responsibilities. This position pays a base salary plus commissions and offers exceptional employee benefits.
